2023 – what a year. On the one hand, many wonderful things have happened this year, but on the other hand, I have the feeling that the world is upside down right now. The wars and the political situation in many countries are bothering me a lot and I really wonder how things will turn out next year.
Speaking of the wonderful things, we’ve been to Amsterdam twice this year, to Paris again (I just love this city so much) and to Bangkok for almost 3 weeks. What I immediately noticed about Thailand and what I loved was the kindness of the people there. What else was going on? A friend of mine got married, it was a great wedding on what felt like the hottest day of the year. My nephew started school, he was so proud. Thanks to the opportunity to work from home, I was able to visit my family several times.
When it comes to baking, I have continued to make a lot with sourdough and this year not only regular bread, but also crackers, cinnamon rolls and brioche. I love it and will keep doing this a lot next year. I have also planned to come up with healthier recipes, as this has been lacking a bit this year and I really want to be more committed to this.
Now it’s time for my review of your favorite recipes of 2023. I love doing this and it was again very exciting to see which recipes you liked best.

Last year I told you that I was publishing a little less frequently because I didn’t have as much time and this year was no different, I didn’t publish as much as I had initially planned. But that’s life and as long as I enjoy baking and this blog, I’ll keep doing it…but this is a passion and not a job, which is a huge difference for me.
This is it for 2023 and I wish you a wonderful start into a healthy and happy 2024. Stay healthy and be kind. I want to thank you all for your support, love and inspiration. Your likes and comments on my blog and on social media always put a smile on my face. You guys are simply the best and I appreciate you taking the time to read, comment and share my posts. I’m looking forward to the new year and can’t wait to see what’s coming next.
Happy New Year 🥳!
