2025 Year in Review – A Year of Challenges & Change

Another year has come and gone, and with it the perfect moment to pause and reflect on 2025.

It was a tougher year than I expected, marked by many challenges and changes — both in my personal life and at work. Right now, I’m truly looking forward to some quiet time between the years. I really need this to recharge. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to be more relaxed about the things I can’t change, especially at work 😉.

When it comes to travel, 2025 was very much a year of city trips. I visited places like Berlin, Munich, Antwerp, Istanbul and Athens. I loved exploring these cities, but I missed taking longer journeys and experiencing very different places. My bucket list is still long, with destinations like Vietnam, Colombia, Japan (again), Scotland, Iceland….and probably a few more. Maybe next year, let’s see what the new year brings.

Now, let’s take a moment to look back at one of my favorite parts of the year: the recipes you loved most! As the months went by, certain bakes clearly stood out. Here you’ll find your most-loved baking recipes from 2025.

As the new year approaches, I find myself hoping for peace in places touched by conflict and for the world to move toward a better future. Personally, I’m wishing for a year that feels a little brighter than the last. Sometimes, the smallest hopes are the ones that carry us forward.

I also want to take a moment to say thank you. To everyone who has supported me here and across my social media platforms: thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your encouragement, feedback, and enthusiasm mean so much to me and motivate me. This journey wouldn’t be possible without you, and I’m incredibly grateful for this wonderful community.

I hope the year brings you good health, comforting moments, creative inspiration, and plenty of reasons to turn on the oven. Thank you for being part of this journey — I can’t wait to see what will come next.

Happy New Year 🥳!
